The Edinburgh Festivals draw people from all over the world to enjoy an extraordinary range of arts activity. As the home country of these festivals Scotland is uniquely placed to share the achievements of its artists with visiting international theatre professionals as well as our local audiences. The Playwrights’ Studio promotes and develops the work of Scotland’s writers for live performance and during August 2010 we will be based in the Traverse Theatre bar.
We are there at our Bookshop and Information Point to help you with scripts for reading or future production, plays by Scottish Playwrights being performed at this years' Festival, contacts for playwrights and also other playwriting centred activity.
At Fringe Central Playwrights' Studio, Scotland, in association with Made in Scotland, are hosting a series of lunchtime conversations Let's Talk Over Lunch. Bring your lunch and join us for a series of lunchtime conversations with artists from the Made in Scotland programme. We'll be exploring the ideas behind their work and challenging them to talk about what inspired their projects.
