National Script Reading Service - Become a Reader
Are you a professional theatre practitioner with previous experience in reading scripts and giving feedback to writers? To be considered as a Reader for the National Script Reading Service please send:
The National Script Reading Service is open to Scotland's
writers. It allows plays to be read anonymously, with written
feedback given to the writer.
This is a rolling opportunity for experienced theatre professionals who would be interested in being script readers. You should be an established playwright, dramaturg or an experienced director familiar with developing or directing new plays. A proven ability to give clear written feedback to writers of all levels is essential.
To be considered as a Reader for our National Script Reading Service please send the following to firstname.lastname@example.org:
- Your up to date CV with relevant experience
- A sample script report that you have written for another organisation.
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept applications from students or very recent graduates, unless you already have significant experience writing, directing or developing plays in a professional environment.
Your application will be processed and you will be notified of the outcome within eight weeks from submission.
