Supported by Playwrights' Studio, Scotland This is an opportunity to play, create, influence and collaborate with each other. Play scenes will be cast and directed by those in attendance on the night, workshopped, and read for the group. So come along on the night to join in or just observe the process from page to stage! We are delighted to announce the Guest for October will be playwright Peter Arnott. | You, the professional playwright, can apply for up to £3,250 to support any aspect of your writing development. Here are some examples of ways in which you might receive support:
Playwrights' Studio, Scotland will run the project for you, providing administrative support and handling all the financial management, and will work closely with you to ensure that the project successfully meets your needs. 360 Narratives - Call for Writers Across Forms

Playwrights' Studio, Scotland 360 Narratives - a safe haven for professional writers to explore other forms of writing. Be challenged, collaborate and create new ideas and projects with your peers. Working in teams, writers from different fields will collaborate to develop ideas and projects reproducible in two or more forms e.g. a book and a film, a game and a comic, a children’s picture book and a play, etc. The programme consists of:

Organisations can apply for up to £5,000 to deliver activity with playwrights. Playwrights’ Studio, Scotland is committed to working in partnership to enable activity for playwrights across Scotland and beyond. In selecting which ones to support we will consider;

Peter Arnott Playwriting Workshop: Documents and Drama Traverse Theatre Location: Edinburgh, UK Date: 5 November 2011, 10.30am - 4.30pm Peter Arnott's work has often been based on historical and documentary sources. In this workshop, he will be exploring ways to find the drama, 'the little story hiding in the big story', in found sources, including his own recent research findings as ESRC Genomics Forum/Traverse Theatre Resident Playwright.
