

Fuse is a unique Scotland-wide initiative that puts new plays in front of the artistic directors at the country’s top theatre companies.
We guarantee your play will be read anonymously by a highly skilled professional;
You will receive written feedback to help you develop your craft,
Feedback will be presented to all Partner companies for consideration;
Information about your writing will also be available to other theatre companies;
You can however elect to have feedback about your play made available only to you, and not shared with Partners or other companies.

Over time, this list will continue to be expanded.
Plays by writers who are Scottish or based in Scotland;
Plays that have not been produced;
Plays for live performance (not T.V., Film or Radio scripts);
All genre of plays except musicals;
Plays that have not previously been submitted.
We will only consider one play per writer, per year.
Please note that plays written in languages other than English are eligible, but may take longer to process.
Print your play one-sided, on white A4 paper;
Please do not bind or staple your script;
Number your pages;
Do not include details that identify you as the writer on any page of the script except the cover sheet;
Include a cover sheet stating your name, title of the play, address, phone number, email address, language in which your play is written, and any special communication needs you may have;
Include an SAE with adequate postage if you would like your play returned (we do not keep unreturned scripts);
Post a copy of your play to Fuse, Playwrights' Studio, Scotland, CCA, 350 Sauchiehall St, Glasgow G2 3JD.
You will receive a letter of acknowledgement saying when your play will be presented to Partners;
Your play will be read anonymously by a highly skilled reader who will give feedback in writing;
This feedback will be presented to Partners with your details, at a Partners Meeting;
After this meeting we will send you your written feedback;
Information about your play will then be made available to other producing theatre companies.
If any of the Partners or producing companies have an interest in your writing we will put you in touch with them.
