Kirkcudbright Galleries are looking to establish a bank of freelance arts and heritage tutors to work in what will be their newly opened galleries, from March 2018, and also to work in the wider Dumfries & Galloway area.

Kirkcudbright Galleries are seeking workshop and project leaders to deliver drop-in sessions, leisure classes for children and adults, structured art courses, holiday programmes and youth arts initiatives. 

They are looking for tutors with experience working with children, including early years, young people, and adults, in the following areas:

  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Arts for children and adults with additional support needs
  • Printmaking
  • Illustration
  • Digital Arts
  • Animation
  • Photography 
  • Textiles
  • Fashion / vintage clothing design
  • Ceramics 
  • Jewellery
  • Creative writing
  • Poetry
  • Storytelling
  • Drama
  • Singing
  • Early Years music and rhyme
  • Heritage interpretation
  • Creative activities linking to mindfulness
