This evening class will guide you through the crucial elements of how to write a play. You will explore the balance between dialogue and plot, character and action, resolution and ambiguity. The course will look at examples of writing for the stage and site-specific theatre, for adults and young people, in different genres and for different purposes.

During the weekly class, you will investigate the building blocks of story and how to build narrative writing. You will learn about the methods of developing three dimensional characters, considering how to create depth and dimension.
