Recent Awards
Vox Motus (2010/11):
This project aims to engage a number of playwrights over the year with the development stages of three upcoming Vox Motus productions/projects. We aim for the playwrights to have the opportunity to work alongside the Artistic Directors and the wider creative team to explore narrative and staging concepts.
Vox Motus has previously devised and written its own productions. This project allows the company to open up its theatre-making process and explores collaborations between the Artistic Directors and writers. Ultimately Vox Motus aims for each engagement to lead to a full script commission. Through the Partner Project Vox Motus is currently working with Peter Arnott and Oliver Emanuel.
HI~Arts (2010/11):
Hi~Arts is the arts and creative industries development agency for the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. In association with Inverness Playwrights Group and Eden Court Theatre, Inverness, they have been awarded Partner Project funding to run the second part of a development programme with dramaturg Pamela McQueen.
Dundee Rep Theatre (2010/11):
Dundee Rep is a performing arts organisation. Partner Projects has provided financial assistance towards a playwright in residence - Douglas Maxwell - to work on three key projects, leading to readings, productions, and a full length commission.
Traverse Theatre (2009/10):
In 2009, the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh, was able to launch a 12-month attachment for an unproduced emerging writer who had not yet had the benefit of professional development. Ella Hickson was the Emerging Playwright on Attachment
The attachment has been a great success. Most crucially, it has broadened my experience and awareness of the theatre industry and the theatrical process and in doing so has helped me develop both my craft and confidence as a writer. Ella Hickson
The Playwrights' Studio, Scotland Partner Projects are made possible by investment from Creative Scotland and generous support from Glasgow City Council.
