D.C. Jackson's plays include My Romantic History (Bush Theatre/Sheffield Theatres in association with Birmingham Rep) which won a Fringe First Award; as well as The Wall, The Ducky and The Chooky Brae, a trilogy of plays written for Borderline Theatre; Threeway (Invisible Dot/Edinburgh Fringe Festival) and an adaptation of The Marriage of Figaro for the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh. He has been Pearson Playwright in Residence at the Royal Court Theatre and has taken part in the Old Vic's 24 hour Plays Celebrity Gala.
My Romantic History has proved phenomenally successful internationally and has been produced in Australia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Serbia, Slovenia and Sweden and the US. Productions have also taken place in France, China and Japan.
For radio, D.C. Jackson has written My Romantic History (BBC Radio 4).
For television, he has written an episode of Series 3 of Fresh Meat (Objective Productions/Channel 4).
He is currently also under commission to the Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh, and the National Theatre of Scotland and is co-writing a feature for Warp Films.
