Linda Duncan McLaughlin
Linda lives in Glasgow with a grumpy cat and understanding neighbours. She's been an actor for 20 years and has only relatively recently begun writing, completing an MLitt at Glasgow University and an MATV at Caledonian. She was lucky enough to snag one of the New Playwrights' Awards from Playwrights' Studio, Scotland in 2013, which has enabled her to undertake work on a new play, Descent. She's also working on Between Floors, a new online television series set entirely in a lift, and on a number of screenplays for TV. She also writes and directs Forum Theatre training programmes for The Good Life Group, a learning disabled peoples' action group. She was a finalist in BBC Scotland's Frank Deasy Award, and won the MATV Script of the Year in 2011, and The Gillian Purvis Award for New Writing in 2010.
