MA in Classical and Contemporary Text

The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's Masters degree in Classical and Contemporary Text is an exciting, intensive full year course for experienced actors and directors looking to take their practical skills to the next level.

Acting and directing students work as an ensemble company, focusing on two strands of theatre: Classical (Shakespeare and Renaissance/Heightened Text) and Contemporary (new writing).

We project manage the new writing aspect of the programme, organising a number of workshops and script development sessions throughout the year.

This year, the students have worked with Clare Duffy, Cathy Forde, David Leddy, John McCann, Rebecca Nada-Rajah, Martin O'Connor, Frances Poet, Drew Taylor-Wilson, Actor Lesley Hart, Directors/Dramaturgs Philip Howard, Katherine Mendelsohn and Hanna Slattne.
