Get Write Away From It All

Introduction to Playwriting weekend course

Tulchan Lodge, Perthshire
Fri 17 - Mon 20 Feb 2012

Always wanted to write a play but
didn't know how or where to start?

Learn how to write a play in a (long) weekend -
from Scotland's leading playwrights.

Immerse yourself in peaceful, uninterrupted writing time in the idyllic Perthshire
countryside. Ideal for writers at the start of their playwriting career or those
interested in writing a play for pleasure.

Scottish playwright Alan Wilkins (The Nest, Carthage Must Be Destroyed) leads a residential course exploring all the elements of playwriting, leading to the creation
of either a short play or extract from a longer piece. Alan will be supported by
a range of expert tutors, all of them professional playwrights.

The course culminates in a traditional Sunday dinner hosted by Scotland's Makar,
Liz Lochhead, and an informal reading of scripts with actors from
the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

£520 per person including all home-cooked meals and single occupancy accommodation. Shared accommodation available at £450 per person.
