Adrian Osmond

Adrian is a writer and director.  He creates acclaimed productions across many genres, including new writing, classics, devised, site-specific and touring work, musicals, operas, and shows with and for young people. The scale of these productions ranges from intimate gatherings to sell-out crowds in venues with more than 3,000 seats.

He was born in Toronto and studied English Literature at Trinity College, Cambridge as a Choral Scholar.  He is based in Glasgow and is Artistic Director of theatre company SweetScar.

Adrian works frequently in Seoul, where he has written the book for new musicals Hamlet Alive (CJ / Seoul Arts Center) and Bungee Jump /번지점프를 하다 (Samsung Blue Square Theatre).

Other writing includes new adaptations of Three Sisters and Antigone (Lung Ha Theatre Company), The Hold (Lung Ha Theatre Company), I of the needle (Oran Mor), SwitchBack (SweetScar), Just One More Dance  (Tramway), and Tunnel Visions (Cryptic).
