Andy McGregor

Andy is a playwright, director and composer. He trained at Glasgow University and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Shows he has written, composed and directed include Spuds, The Rise and Inevitable Fall of Lucas Petit, Pure Freezin', Love 2.0  and Vinyl Idol (with Debbie Hannan). He has also made various Christmas shows for wee ones at The Citizens Theatre, including Humbug! and Eric The Elf's Chaotic Christmas.

He has directed The Dolls Dragged Up, Disturbed, Godspell and Twelfth Night. He has composed for The Royal Court, the National Theatre of Scotland, The Tron and the National Youth Theatre. His musical Towards the Moon was nominated for three MTM awards and has been performed off-Broadway. His new play, Influence, shall be performed this year in six theatres UK-wide, from Dundee Rep to Plymouth Royal.

Andy also worked as assistant director on Slick and Dragon with Vox Motus and In Time O' Strife with the National Theatre of Scotland.
