Belle Jones

Belle trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama). As an actor, she has toured nationally and internationally, as well as working for producing houses such as the Citz, Royal Lyceum and Cumbernauld Theatre, and performing in productions at the Tron and Traverse. TV and radio credits include Rebus (STV), Outlander (Starz) and 44 Scotland Street (BBC Radio 4).

She is a regular performer with Village Pub Theatre where her writing as also been performed. Several of her short pieces of writing have been selected for workshopping at Stage to Page, and also for The Progressive Playwright at the Tron. She has had two poems and a short story published, and one of her current projects, Shame, was shortlisted for the STV Digital Spark Award.

Recent directorial credits include: X and Y (New Room Theatre and Black Dingo productions), Blackout (New Room Theatre), Newsboy at the Tron Theatre, Theatre Uncut Glasgow and The Kitchen Sink Collective for Scrapyard theatre at the Traverse Theatre.

She also wrote, directed, designed and made puppets for Aesop's Fables at the Arches Theatre.
