Scottish Borders Playwriting Programme
Northumbrian born Emily Larner studied Performing Arts at Newcastle College and Salford University and graduated in Acting from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Emily has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe in The Mighty written and directed by Vanishing Point's Matt Lenton and Under the Skin written and directed by Martin Mcnaughton. Emily has worked in Television and Film before deciding to direct her energies towards writing. Emily completed a screenwriting course at Screen Academy, Napier University. In early 2014 she wrote and performed in National Theatre of Scotland's 5 minute theatre for Yes, No, Don't Know then went on to write a short film The Willow Tree, which was shown as part of the Moving Image Makers Group - Alchemy Film Festival. Since then she has written two short films and a play, Turning Tide, an extract of this was performed script in hand at Talkfest in the Borders as part of Playwrights' Studio, Scotland's Scottish Borders Playwriting Programme in 2018. Emily is now working on a one woman show - Form 4a Section Nothing.
