Iain Macrae
Iain has worked for over 30 years as a professional actor in
theatre, television and radio.
As a writer he has re-versioned several cartoon series from
English, Irish Gaelic, and Swedish, into Gaelic, particularly for
'Obh! Obh!' and 'Tele-ar-amach' productions.
More recently Iain has worked on some playwriting commissions in
Gaelic:
Mac an t- commissioned by Glasgow Life. A one-man
show performed at Tron theatre Vic Bar. March 2013.
Briseadh na Cloiche/Breaking the Rock, an adaptation of John Murray's short story commissioned by Gaelic Books Council. Performed at CCA. February 2014.
Taigh Sheonachain/Shonnachan's House commissioned by PNE as part of their award-winning First World War commemoration Gairm nan Gaidheal/Call of the Gael. March 2014.
Fantom performed at Citizens' Theatre in October 2014.
He also enjoyed a week's playwright's residency at Moniack Mhor in 2014.
