Former Mentored Playwright

Jessica Brodie

Jessica has a BA in English Literature and Theatre Studies and trained as an actor at Identity School of Acting in London. In 2018, she was a member of Soho Theatre's Young Company. She also co-wrote I'll Have What She's Having with Victoria Bianca, which went on to receive critical acclaim for its run at Assembly George Square during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Mentoring Programme 2020

Jessica was part of our Mentoring Programme for 2020. She developed Phases as part of the programme:

It's 2020, and Mabel is Stuck with a capital S. But never fear! Tonight, for the first time in over 100 years, Weiss' Comet is set to pass the Earth, bringing with it the answer to all of Mabel's problems. All it'll take is one wish.  Phases explores fluidity, freedom and how we, as queer people, reflect and internalise the perceptions of those around us.

Jessica was mentored by Stef Smith.
