Mairi Morrison

Mairi is an actress, singer, writer and director based in Glasgow.  Originally from Lewis, she is a recipient of the Gaelic New Playwrights Award.

Her playwriting credits include her solo show, Beasts of Holm, performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and she has written and directed many plays for schools and communities over the years, mostly in Gaelic.

As a writer, she has translated/versioned various TV scripts and most recently translated Pauline Goldsmith's hugely successful play, Bright Colours Only.  Mairi is also a songwriter, mainly for herself, but has also written and composed songs for numerous BBC children's programmes.
