Robert Alan Evans is a writer, director and devisor working across the UK. He has written extensively for young people including Kes, The Voice Thief, Caged, Pobby and Dingan (winner TMA award), Pondlife (winner of the prix d'Orpheon) and Kappa for Catherine Wheels Theatre Company; The Dark, a thriller for teenagers; Pinocchio (Northampton Theatre Royal); a radical retelling of Peter Pan and The Sleeping Beauties for Sherman Cymru and Mikey and Addie with Andy Manley and Crumble and The Night Before Christmas (Leeds Playhouse)
His work for adults includes The Woods and A Girl in a Car with a Man for the Royal Court theatre, Aruba, The Cracks, Ignition and The River and the Mountain (LAMDA).
He is co-creator with Barrowland Ballet of three dance pieces; Tiger, Tiger Tale and Little Red.
His work has been translated and performed in the US, across Europe, China, Japan, Australia and the UK and is published by Faber, Samuel French and L'Arche in France.
