Meet the Staff


Our Staff team dedicated to supporting Scotland’s Playwrights.

 
  • Creative Director

    Louise joined Playwrights' Studio in July 2021 as Creative Director and Chief Executive. Louise has worked as an in-house dramaturg or literary management personnel at the Traverse, Royal Court and Abbey Theatres. She has worked as a dramaturg or script reader with independent makers and with theatre companies throughout the UK and Ireland. She signs to BSL Level 3 and ISL Level 3 and is a trustee for Deafinitely Theatre Company. She holds a PhD in Creativity Management from the University of St Andrews.

  • General Manager

    Emma joined Playwrights' Studio in November 2009 as the company's Administrator. Prior to joining the organisation, Emma worked as Office Manager at Borderline Theatre Company for 3 years and for 2 years as their Administration, Research and Marketing Assistant. She has a degree in Archaeology from University of Glasgow.

  • Projects Producer

    Amy joined Playwrights' Studio in June 2019 as Administration & Communication Assistant and became Administrator in January 2020. Prior to joining the organisation, Amy worked as the Interim Administrator at Lung Ha Theatre Company. She has a degree in Drama and Theatre Arts from Queen Margaret University, specialising in theatre directing. Amy is also a freelance theatre director, dramaturg and script reader.
